Dale Loy taught me how to make a pine needle basket at Sunnycrest Nursery almost 25 years ago and I have been making them ever since. Here are a few of his latest creations. I love the pattern that he made with the sheaths of the pine needles and the beauty of the natural raffia. The shape of the bottom of the basket in the top photo is very unique and something I have never seen before. The handmade bead on the lidded basket is a wonderful touch and the stitching is fantastic! I give my favorite basket teacher an A+! Enjoy!
