Steller's Jay Invasion

We have had an invasion of Steller's jays lately at our bird feeders and birdbaths. I am not a big fan of them, because they are mean and destructive to other birds and are very noisy. However, they are pretty and I was surprised to get photos of them since they tend to shy away from people. I saw eight of them at one time and tried my best to get a photo of all of them in one shot. No luck, because they are just too quick!
Have a stellar day!

  1. They are pretty and Jeff loves them. We do not have too many problems with them and the other birds. They love whole peanuts and so we feed that on the other side of the yard they tend to leave the other birds alone. Our problem is when we feed them it makes the crose come! and I hate Crows!

  2. Great pictures by the way! They are fast and I have not been able to capture them. I am hoping to see a Cardinal when I go visit Darcie and Anthony.

  3. I took these photos from inside and that's the only reason I was able to get pictures of them. They are pretty, though. I hope you get a photo of a cardinal...I have never seen one in person before.
