My husband and I finished watching Ken Burn's "National Parks: America's Best Idea," a new six-part series about the history of the National Parks on PBS last night and it was amazing! If you get a chance to watch this series, you will see why I named the above basket "Yellowstone" (see earlier "Yellowstone" Jan. '09 post for more information about this basket). I have been fortunate to visit many national parks and feel even more fortunate to have and currently live so close to many of them. After watching this series, I want to visit all of the parks! I am grateful to all of the people that helped make our parks what they are today. Many of these people were in the military and I wish all that have served or currently serve our country a happy Veteran's Day.
P.S. Thanks Claudia for telling me about this artist and I hope you enter the blogging world soon!
Love the photo and basket! Makes me want to race out and make something. What I was able to catch of the Ken Burns Parks series was wonderful. The man's works are amazing. Unfortunately had obligations during most of this series so will have to catch-up with those I missed when they repeat at some point. Happy Sunday!
