Woodland Christmas

I remember the many years of being outside on our little Christmas tree farm. It was always cold and either raining or, on occasion, snowing. However, we never minded the weather, because watching the joy that it brought to the people who came and cut down a fresh Christmas tree always warmed our hearts. The wonderful scent of the freshly cut trees was heavenly. Watching the children and dogs run around amongst the rows of trees was so cheerful and fun to watch, too. I hope everyone gets to enjoy some simple and fun times outdoors while breathing in the fresh air this Christmas season.

The scent of evergreen trees on a crisp cold day was the inspiration for this basket. I made my "Woodland Christmas" pine needle basket using natural green Longleaf pine needles, green artificial sinew, antique brass pinecone beads, a beautiful pinecone "Merry Christmas" heart-shaped pottery pendant and petrified wood set in resin base.

This basket measures 6" x 5" x 2-3/4".
