When I arrived at Priest Lake (Idaho) over Memorial Day weekend I joined the French family at an auction. A few of the items were very unique and reminded me of my mom. Yes, they are pine needle baskets. They were very different though. The artist died her own pine needles and weaved them around deer antlers. Very cool but they only sold for around $250 and must have taken her hours. Hope these inspire you mom. You should try a bee hive basket like this one!
Wow, these are cool. I love the bee hive one and the multi-colored pine needles. You are right, they took hours to complete. Very creative and nice work.
