I came up with the idea for this basket in early February and thought that I could make it quickly and have it finished by Valentine's Day. WRONG! This basket took forever to make, because once again the sewing needle and waxed linen thread were too large to fit through the heart beads, so I spent a lot of time threading the sewing needle. (I'm going to have to work on a better process for beading in the future!) I made a row a night for about two weeks to make this little labor of love. It is made with red wine colored pine needles and waxed linen thread and glass heart swirl beads. The Brazilian agate in the center looks like a crystal pink island of blooming cherry trees with a wave of water crashing on a rock in the forefront. Enjoy!
