My family and I have been "messing about in boats" our entire lives. We all love to be near or on the water where we have enjoyed sailing, cruising, paddling, rowing and everything in between. We have enjoyed many hours of exploring on the water, especially the beautiful waters in Puget Sound and the Georgian Bay in Canada. We love boats so much that our friends all chipped in over 40 years ago and gave us a canoe as a wedding gift, which we still enjoy to this day. These baskets were inspired by the serenity and fun times that our family has experienced while being on the water in a boat of any kind.

"Safe Harbor"
I made my "Safe Harbor" pine needle basket using natural brown and dyed dark blue Longleaf pine needles, Pacific blue artificial sinew, twisted seagrass cord, a "hope anchors the soul" heart anchor pottery pendant and a blue magnesite stone set in resin base. This basket is approximately 4-1/4" round x 2-1/2" tall.
"Sail Away"
I made my "Sail Away" pine needle basket using dyed brown Longleaf pine needles, royal blue Irish waxed linen thread, twisted seagrass cord, Peruvian ceramic dark blue anchor beads, colorful ceramic sailboat button and a plume agate with a beautiful and unique design set in resin base. I thought the pattern in the agate looked like kelp or coral in the water. This basket is approximately 6" x 6-1/2" x 3".
ENJOY!
