We have had one of the sunniest and hottest summers that I can ever remember in the Pacific Northwest. We didn't get any rain for over three months and I was very happy to get the much needed rain that we had last week. My garden grew like I had never seen before and my flowers thrived, especially my sunflowers. I enjoyed many hours making baskets at my favorite spot along the shores of Puget Sound overlooking the Salish Sea and the Olympic Mountains in the background. It is hard to say goodbye to such a beautiful summer, but I picked one last summer bouquet in celebration of such a great season. Now if I can only figure out a way to weave my beautiful sunflowers into a basket! Enjoy!
