Experimenting With Photography

I have been entering my baskets in more exhibits, newsletters and donating to charity auctions lately. One of the things that is really important are the photos that I submit, so I have been trying to improve my skills in photography. I purchased a table top photo tent box and have been experimenting taking photos with various lighting and different arrangements with my baskets. The box is really great, however, trying to fold it back down and put it in the carrying bag is the worst part! I have been hiding plastic food containers underneath the baskets to raise them up and using a heavy antique cow toy to hold up the baskets and keep them from slipping on the nylon sheet. Not exactly what the professional photographers would use, but it works! I have always relied on natural light outside, however, our weather hasn't been cooperating lately! Fortunately, I have a little bit of experience with photography from taking advertising photos when I worked at newspapers years ago. However, I have a lot to learn and will keep trying new things. I admire all the photographers out there, because it is time consuming work, takes incredible talent, patience and a very good eye! I would prefer to just make baskets! Here are a few of the photos that I have submitted to various places lately, excluding the behind the scenes shots! Enjoy!
