Our annual family pumpkin carving contest turned into pumpkin painting and crafting this year. While looking around my craft room for supplies to use, I came across a box of pressed flowers and leaves that I pressed several years ago. I was always going to make cards out of them, but never did. I came up with the idea of decoupaging them on one of the small ghost pumpkins that I grew in my garden. I didn't know if it was going to work, but it did! It caught on and a few other family members tried it, too. I'm not sure how long the pumpkin will last, but it still looks great. It is always fun to see the creative ideas that everyone comes up with. We were all winners this year, because we could safely be together. I am continually reminded that it is the simple things that really matter in life, especially during these challenging times.
