We are very fortunate in the Puget Sound area to have many outdoor recreational opportunities to enjoy in or near the water. Besides the Salish Sea, there are many lakes and rivers to enjoy, too. Our family has enjoyed many different kinds of boats over the years, but my favorites are still human powered boats, especially canoes and kayaks. I recently discovered Washington Water Trails Association. It is a great resource to find public access areas for human powered watercraft. My "Seattle Waterways" basket was inspired by the beautiful bodies of water that surround me everyday. It is made with dyed dark brown Longleaf pine needles, blue Brazilian Settanyl waxed poly cord, green and blue wavy sea glass beads and a artistic multi-colored salmon pottery base. This basket measures 9" x 6-3/4" x 3-3/4"
ENJOY!
