Endangered Species Day

Ever since I saw polar bears in the wild in 2003 with my family on a trip with Lindblad Expeditions, I have had a special place in my heart for these special bears. The above photos, mostly taken by my husband, are the polar bears that we saw on the pack ice in the Barents Sea in the Svalbard Archipelago...AMAZING! That trip also made me more aware of how we all need to work together to save all the creatures on our planet...even though some of the local wildlife have been driving me crazy lately! Click here to find out more information on how you can support saving endangered species. Also, a yummy way to donate to this cause is by purchasing Endangered Species Chocolate!
Have a great Endangered Species Day!

  1. I love Polar Bears they are so cool. I understand all about Endangered Species and how they should be protected. But I have to say Thank Goodness Raccoons are not on that list because I do not love them!

  2. I am not fond of raccoons either ever since they tore up our yard a few years ago and especially this year when they bit Lucy and got her so sick. I was practicing with my handy dandy scanner and was happy with how the polar bear pics came out. The goal is to scan all our old photos and put them on cd's, but too much gardening and basket making to do! Plus rebuilding the bird feeders after the bear destroyed them! Why am I celebrating endangered species day?

  3. I am not sure why you are celebrating this day either. But if we have a Polar Bear sighting in our yards I will know then we need to move!
