Baskets For Sale

Yipee...another one of my baskets has found a good home thanks to Dale and Claudia Loy, owners of Sunnycrest Nursery, where my baskets are on display and for sale. I hope "Pod" brings many years of enjoyment to the person who bought it! The following baskets are currently available at Sunnycrest Nursery in Key Center:

"Twilight", the blue basket on the left and
"Chick", the natural/yellow basket on the right

"Lagoon"

"Pink Gone Wild", the basket on the left and
"Lagoon", the basket on the right
("Pod", the center basket is sold and enjoying a new home!)

"Pink Gone Wild"

P.S.  Thanks to Claudia and Dale for supporting local artists in their shop (especially with their limited amount of space) and for their continued support and encouragement!
P.S.S. I learned how to make pine needle baskets in 1986 while taking a class from Dale and have had a passion for anything to do with baskets and basket making ever since. Who knew that would happen while sitting around in a circle with family and friends while playing with pine needles! Thanks!

  1. You know that in all the years I have known you I have never watched you make a basket. I can not even imagine how you do it. They are so beautiful!

  2. So happy for you! There are many of us who enjoy doing a variety of things using our hands and imaginations, you included. But, there are few who reach the master level of craftsmanship you have in one particular medium. Your baskets, in their variety of form, color, texture and blending of natural rock formations/beads and such are treasures. Pod has a new home. And yeah to Dale and Claudia at Sunnycrest Nursery for their continuing support of local arts.

Your photos are lovely. Especially like the position of basket on edge (on rocks) with sun coming through agate and highlighting the nubs. Very effective.

Nothing like finding ones passion at the table of laughter. Or at least that's how I remember it looking back. There could have been a tad of whining from those of us not getting past the center circle. Grin.

  3. SM&S-Yes, there was lots of laughter and a little beer, too! You have gotten past the "center circle" ten fold in many other areas...you continue to be an inspiration to me!
