Making pine needle baskets with heart beads on them are some of my favorite baskets to make. While working on these baskets, they remind me not only of love, but are a cheerful reminder that love is all around us everyday. One of my favorite songs is "All You Need Is Love" by The Beatles and this catchy tune kept playing in my head while stitching away. A wonderful way to get through the dark days of winter when it is so rainy and cold outside.
"Spirit of Love"
I made my "Spirit of Love" pine needle basket using natural brown Longleaf pine needles, red artificial sinew, red heart glass beads and a beautiful grained walnut wood base.
This basket measures 3-1/2" x 3" x 1-1/2".
"Inspire Love"
I made my "Inspire Love" pine needle basket using natural green Longleaf pine needles, brown artificial sinew, Czech pink swirl glass heart beads, a heart-shaped "Inspire Love" pottery pendant and a pink and brown "Love" pottery base.
This basket measures 7" x 5" x 2-3/4".
