We don't get lowland snow in the Puget Sound area very often, but when we do it is a big deal. It is even more special when we get snow at Christmastime. The snow is so magical and turns everything into a winter wonderland. We have spent a handful of Christmases sledding, building snowmen, having snowball fights and taking walks in the woods.
I tried to finish this basket before Christmas this year, but I got too busy with all of the festivities and preparations of the season. When I got a chance to finish it last week, I was delighted to see that snow was in the forecast. We have been enjoying several days now of the fluffy white stuff and it turned out to be the perfect setting to take photos of this basket. The snow is a nice break from the gray and rainy days that we usually get this time of year.
I made my
"Christmas Snow" basket using several shades of red and dark brown dyed Longleaf pine needles, white artificial sinew, white crow beads, colorful handmade tree and snow lampwork beads and a walnut wooden base.
This basket measures approximately 7-3/4" x 6-1/2" x 3-1/2".
ENJOY!
