The Chumash

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History where I discovered the Chumash Indian Hall. Click here to see more about The Chumash exhibits. I had never heard of The Chumash before and was thrilled to learn all about them, especially their baskets. I learned that The Chumash are some of the best basket makers in the world and I can see why after looking at their amazing work. Even their homes looked like upside down baskets! I came home inspired by these beautiful people and their culture and gorgeous baskets. Enjoy!
